Volunteering in Your Community

Volunteering Opportunities

Medical students have always been active in their communities, and have contributed in a variety of ways. AMSA is committed to linking medical students with volunteering programs and charity organisations Australia-wide. Please see below for details about volunteering opportunities available to you:

Linkz Incorporated

Linkz Incorporated is looking for volunteers for their Odyssey program, which involves a month-long remote community placement during the mid-year holiday break. Volunteers undergo extensive training prior to the program and then travel to a remote community to facilitate a sport and recreation-based program, after which they are involved in evaluations and future planning. If you are interested in learning more about Indigenous culture, getting real-life experience and playing your part in Closing the Gap please contact Ashton - ashton@linkz.net.au! (Applications close 30th April 2011)
